Here are a few other pictures from Piper’s riding lesson. In addition to cantering, she’s been working on jumping over cross poles. She even did a few one handed.

Piper has had quite a week. She is the undisputed Settlers of Catan champion. She has thoroughly waxed her parents 5 out of 7 games. Poor Daddy is still waiting for his first win. Despite our regular humiliation at the hands of an 8 year old, we’ve been having a lot of fun with nightly games and highly recommend it.

Yesterday was her very first off lunge line canter! As her instructor said, “This is the next big step.” Very exciting.

Finally, she has slept the last 4 nights entirely in her own bed. As usual, I think this happened be she finally chose to do it, though she and her dad do have a sweet Bella Sara deal going on the side which I’ve just been informed tipped her over the edge. :-)
