Piper had a great time at her horse show on Sunday. There were even ribbons involved. I scurried around on Saturday altering her knight costume and coming up with a few items for the horse. We had a late night on Saturday and there was an email glitch so we didn’t realize Piper had to be at the barn at 9:00 until I called at about 8:15. The barn is 15 minutes from the house and Piper wasn’t even out of bed yet. Can you believe we made it on time? All of us were even clean except poor Tim.

Piper and I have been wanting to try some of the crafts from That Artist Woman. She has some especially good fall crafts. We declared today “Craft Day”.

For those of you playing along on the sidebar, you might have noticed that Piper started Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone yesterday despite the fact we just finished reading the entire series aloud to her a few weeks ago and watched the first movies last weekend. She finished it today. Directly after finishing it, she walked upstairs and got Chamber of Secrets.

Piper: “Even though you’ve read it and you know what’s going to happen, you still get really excited in all the right places and want to keep reading.”

And that is what makes a good story!
